Is an email address required to give on-line?

Yes. Our system requires unique email for each Donor, and receipts are automatically sent via email. Reporting and searching features are connected by email in the system, so unique email addresses for each Donor is very important.

What payment methods are available?

On-line Giving allows the use of a debit, or credit cards as well as Bank-Pay.

Can I make either one-time or recurring gifts?

You may make both. You can provide a one-time gift at any time. Recurring gifts may be set up for Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Twice a Month, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual time frames.

Can I change my giving amount and frequency of donation for recurring gifts?

Yes, all or part of the donation may be changed or deleted at any time.

What Church Funds are available for giving on-line?

Funds include: General Offering, Building, Missions, Memorial, and Benevolent. Except for the Benevolent Fund, you will have an option to add a comment in the memo section regarding a designation for your gift.

What is "Sign in" and is there an advantage to using it?

Yes, the advantage is that it offers a shortcut to completing your donation. Once you have completed a donation for the first time, you are given the opportunity to create a “Giving Account.” This means that you have provided an email and a Password, and/or a cell phone number. When visiting the giving site again, you can select “Sign in” and use your email and Password to log in and will not be required to complete all your information again, since it is contained in your account. If you “Sign in” with you cell phone number, you will receive a text with a verification code that you will enter to complete your login.

Is my information safe and confidential?

EasyTithe, our on-line giving platform, is a PCI Level One compliant provider – this is the top-level security that you can have. It is referred to as “bank level” secure. They use bank-level encryption and industry-leading features to ensure the protection of everyone’s financial data.

How do I edit my donor account information?

Simply visit our church giving page and Sign In. Once logged into your account, you’ll find your information (and how to edit it) in the top corner. If you use text giving, text word “EDIT” to 618-268-1062 and you’ll be given a link to your Account Settings page.

Is my personal information sent in a text message?

We never send any personal or financial information via text message. We simply facilitate giving. Your personal and financial information is always encrypted and stored securely.

How will my phone number be used?

Your phone number will never be sold, traded, or given out to third parties. You will only be texted to confirm your giving and receive responses to other requests you make.

What if I accidentally type the wrong amount?

When you make a gift, you will receive a text confirmation that re-states the amount given. If you made a mistake, you respond with the word “REFUND” within the first 15 minutes and you will not be charged. After 15 minutes, if a refund is needed, please contact the church.

Can I designate where my donation is used?

Yes – After you add your payment information, you will have an opportunity to select the Fund area for your donation. You can then add a comment in the memo section and designate your gift.

How do I know the Church received my donation?

You will receive a confirmation email immediately after you complete your donation. If you have any questions, please contact the Financial Secretary at 618-303-4664.

How is my donation documented?

The Finance Committee will receive the information regarding your gift. Your gift will be handled just as if you made your donation in person. The Financial Secretary is the only person to receive an email each time your contribution is made on-line. This information will be added to your on-going record of giving for your year-end statement.

Why do you ask me my address, email, and other information?

This information is needed to make sure that your account is properly credited with your gift and that your year-end Giving Report of your donations (for tax purposes) is mailed to you at the correct address.

Are there any fees for using the on-line option?

There are no fees for the donor; the full amount of your designated gift goes directly to the Church and is considered a tax-deductible gift. A small fee is charged to the Church for processing credit, debit, or Bank-Pay transactions. This will be considered an operational expense of the Church.

What is the phone number I text and whose is it?

The phone number you are texting (618-268-1062) is a secure number that belongs to FBC, through EasyTithe giving platform. It is used exclusively for giving.
